From finding that one book within many to judging a book by its cover and finding the perfect friend in a character ,we bookworms have been through all. However we can all come to agree that most of us face reading slumps at one point of time. From leaving a book at midway to not reading a single book in months ,a reading slump can turn into a bibliophile's worst nightmare. So here are 5 books to overcome your slump.

Based on a fictional band of the 70s,this novel written in the style of oral history is no doubt a masterpiece.Incredibly fast paced ,this book deals on varied topics from drug addiction to the fragility of relationships.Reading this book will turn out to be a thrilling ride and keep you awake overnight .Reid's delicate and beautiful writing is what makes this novel a pleasure to read time and again.I wont divulge the story line and characters because you need to go to your nearest book store and pick this book ASAP.
2.Amy & Roger's Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

This young adult historical fiction will take you on an overwhelming journey with the world war II as its backdrop.Told from multiple perspectives ,with each chapter being short and precise and deftly written,,the book wont miss a mark to struck your senses on the tragedy of the world war and how lives were affected .Winner of the Carnegie Medal,it recounts the horrors of the tragic fate of the ship MV Wilhelm Gustloff killing thousands of people -an account of one of the worst maritime disaster largely unknown to the world.
4.Orbiting Jupiter by Gary D Schmidt

A rather powerful novel when young adult books are talked about.Dealing with sensitive topics ,this book makes an emotional impact on its readers .Jack,a 12 year old and his family take in Joseph ,a 14 year old.Joseph has a daughter named Jupiter and he hasnt met her yet and wants to see her at any cost. This book will make you cry and make you step back in time ,pause for a moment and let you think..The way the author handles the storyline is commendable.
5.Any Agatha Christie book literally.
Be it "And Then There Were None" or the controversial "The Murder of Roger Ackroyd",Agatha Christie never disappoints..you can pick any book of her and you will find your interest in books rekindled.Whether it is Hercule Poirot or Miss Marple, you will be drawn into the vortex of these mysteries and will be using your "little grey cells" until you turn the last page over.
